Early in the month, we cheered Cinqo de Mayo, followed by our blooming peonies!

Then there was the wildlife. Some bunnies came to visit, as they often do. I always get excited when they come by. This visit they came very close to the house again. Apparently, I am not a threatening person.

I caught this robin and this mourning dove trying to ignore each other on a neighbor’s fence. There was a full feeder not too far away, so I suspect that’s what they were really interested in.
And on one very special day, a baby deer arrived on our lawn. Mostly she slept, and occasionally she yawned or stood up to stretch, but she didn’t leave her spot. The baby was unaccompanied for most of the day, but eventually Mom came back to feed her.

Late in the month, we purchased a new car, just the thing for hauling Bill’s musical equipment — and my books! Hooray!

While we celebrated a lot this month, we also did a lot of work. I hope to get Book 3 back from the editor in June and I’m in the process of writing the text and choosing the elements for the book cover. I’m working on arrangements for library and bookstore visits and signings for later in the year. Watch for more announcements, coming soon!
Until next month,
Enjoy the journey!
