Do you love December as much as I do? It’s a month full of holidays, activities, and get-togethers, snow and wind, and magic. This month’s full moon is called the Bitter Moon, and true to its name, it’s been bitterly cold!
We got our first dusting of snow, which inspired some of my Boyd’s Bears to go sledding!

The cold also inspired me to make my favorite winter coffee blend.
Bill and I indulged in some holiday music and a classic Christmas musical.

Santa came to visit…

And I made sure he knew what to bring me!
For National Twins Day on December 18th, I featured these Barista Bear twins as stand-ins for the Lambert Brothers in Special Risk.

You’ll be happy to know that the Lamberts will be back in Book Three, which is coming along nicely.
I baked and baked and baked, all for gifting.

Shortbread in holiday shapes
Cranberry Glitz Bars

Flourless Chocolate Cupcakes with Rum Ganache

Have you been baking this month? What winter holiday baked goods are your favorites? Tell me for a chance to win a Special Risk coffee mug. I’ll put all the respondents names in my mixing bowl and ask Bill to choose a random winner on January 15th!

Sending a wish for Christmas blessings to you and Bill. If you haven’t been to the 4:30 Mass in a while, we now have four (count ’em, four!) guitar players. You should come hear us sometime! Ginny

Hi, Sandy! Hope you’re enjoying the holidays! Yes, I’m a baker too. I made 6 different kinds of cookies this year. My favorite by far is the spritz cookies, make with a cookie press. All sorts of little shapes, some highlighted with sprinkles and colors!

Six different kinds! You are quite the baker! I tried a cookie press early in my baking career with less than stellar results. 😂 These days I stick to what I know. And yes, I had a lovely Christmas! I hope you enjoy your New Year festivities, as well.
