January 2026: Happy Snow Days

We are hunkering down for a big storm this weekend. I hope you are warm and safe and have plenty of supplies, heat, and electricity to relax and enjoy the beauty of winter. But this wasn’t our first snow in 2026. Earlier in the month I took this photo of some residual snow in our back yard, along with a picture of my bears enjoying some sledding in the front yard.

I tried to catch a shot of this month’s Supermoon, the Wolf Moon. This was the best one. You can see I was blocked by the clouds, but aren’t they fascinating? The moon managed to just peek through on this photo.

To my great surprise, one of my coffee trees, which presented me with flowers last summer and green cherries a couple months ago, is showing signs of ripening those cherries. Two weeks elapsed between the first and second photo. You can see that the cherries are even redder now! Very exciting!

However, I don’t expect to make a cup of coffee from four beans!

In book news, I’ve been able to confirm two signings this year. First, I’ll be returning to the Luther Acres Book Festival in Lititz, PA, on March 28. Also, I have agreed to a signing at Story Keeper in Marietta, PA, on October 10. I am working on having Book 3 published by that time. Stand by for more information on those two appearances. I’ll have more details in the next newsletter. And maybe more signings to report!

So, stay toasty, my friends…

Thanks for following my newsletter…

And don’t forget to enjoy the journey!
