November 2025: Giving Thanks

And just like that, autumn leaned into winter. That’s frost on the ground and the air felt like snow.

It’s been a month of travels, food, and gorgeous days. I had some great meals, followed by sumptuous desserts and delicious beverages. I didn’t always photograph them, but here are a few:

Chocolate cake with peanut butter icing at Momma Spriggs in Carlisle, PA.

Chocolate Mousse at Bakers Diner in Dillsburg, PA.

A visit to South County Brewing in York, PA. Why, yes, I believe that is an elk head hanging on the fireplace there!

A visit to Big Hill Ciderworks in Gardners, PA.

All of this to get ready for Thanksgiving Day this week. We’ll be enjoying a bit of that Big Hill Farmhouse Cranberry cider with our dinner.

I managed to catch the Beaver Supermoon this month a day early. Good thing, too, because the night it was considered completely full, our sky was packed with clouds.

So for me, November was another month to be thankful. I’m also thankful for you, my readers and friends, for your ongoing support and your patience and understanding while I work (ever so slowly!) on Personal Risk, book three. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and look forward to the upcoming winter holidays.

As the days get longer and the sun is harder to find, my oxalis plant reminds me that spring is on the way!

Above all, don’t forget to enjoy the journey!
