August 2025: Change Is In The Air!

I don’t know how your area of the world looks, but mine went from all this greenery to the golds and browns of fading leaves below!

The air is cooler, with WAY less humidity and I’m more excited to be outdoors again. Clear blue skies, big fluffy clouds… These are the things that bring me joy.

On a short walk I took in our neighborhood, I was delighted to see a few butterflies hanging out on a neighbor’s butterfly bush.

And a katydid came by to visit my back porch!

I tried to catch some planetary action this month, too, but the best I could do was a quick shot of the Sturgeon Moon on August 10th.

Then, on August 23rd, I snapped a photo of Vega, the brightest star in the constellation Lyra. Not a great shot, to be sure, but considering I took it with my cell phone, I’m happy. I’ll never stop being awed by celestial activity.

In book news, I’m editing away and expect to have Book 3 ready for beta readers soon!

Also, a new signing goes on the Events list this week: I’ll be returning to Story Keeper in Marietta, PA, on October 11th from 1:30 to 3:30 for Marietta’s Blues and Brews Festival. This is a natural fit for Special Risk, don’t you think?

Until we talk again, enjoy the journey!

Sandy
