How was your Easter?

This month has flown by! The artsy bunnies had their hands full coloring eggs and the coffee helped them keep at it. But when the day came, it was a tad cloudy and damp, so the little chick sending Easter Greetings was appropriate.

My visit to Luther Acres was a lot of fun and, I thought, very successful. We had a good crowd of both residents and independent visitors. The organizers made sure to get the Book Festival message out, and the results were obvious. I did a book talk on the background of the Risk Series using my iPad to project photos while I chatted to the audience. Using technology during a talk can sometimes be challenging, but this worked well.
Now that the weather is warming up, the flowers are out! The violas popped up in a new spot this year, and the pink dogwood, which has been struggling after getting an unexpected freeze last year, at least presented me with a few blooms. I’m hoping it will get back to more normal flowering next year.

The bunnies also came out, although this gang doesn’t seem at all interested in Easter. There are actually four in this bunny family, but I could only catch a photo of three of them together. The bonus was seeing the squirrel out foraging with the bunny. I don’t often see the two out at the same time, let alone this close together! They are so much fun to watch.
Although I am paying close attention to the flora and fauna around our house, I am also working on Book Three of the Risk Series, Personal Risk. While that is not quite ready to talk about, I would like to mention that I will be giving a book talk and signing books at:
