January 2025 Update: Let It Snow!

It’s January, so it’s no surprise that we’ve had a few small snowstorms that kept us shoveling and stoking the fireplaces in Pennsylvania. We had such a mild autumn that we fooled ourselves into thinking we wouldn’t see much of a winter wonderland, but we were wrong! It’s been frosty and cold and, well, white out there. This is a good time for people like me to hunker down in front of a warm keyboard and work.

Work on Risk #3 continues. That’s all I’m going to say about the book itself at this point, but I’m lining up some personal appearances later in the year, so keep your eyes on the Events page of my website. Of course, I expect to bring Special Risk and Flood Risk to these events, but I’m working hard to add a third title to my table.

Speaking of the Risk books, we have a winner of the Special Risk mug that I promised in the December newsletter! I plan to deliver the mug to reader Kathie Hook as soon as we confirm the details. Congratulations, Kathie!

Here are some of the images I captured in my backyard this month.

I hope to have much more to share with you next month. Have a wonderful time in the snow. I know my little bears will!
