My first writing sale was $1 for a tagline for a local radio station. I was all of twelve years old. For awhile I wrote poetry. Later I wrote screenplays and short stories. I wrote newspaper articles and restaurant reviews. At my various jobs I wrote business letters, critiques, reports, and summaries. I even wrote and edited an internal newsletter for the staff members of one employer.
My first novel didn’t happen for many years, but when it did, I was hooked on the longer format. My current novel, the fourth I’ve written and the first published, came with an added benefit: my characters are taking a multi-book journey. The first installment is Special Risk.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English with a Writing Emphasis from York College of Pennsylvania, as well as a Master’s Degree in Library Science. I am a member of Pennwriters, a state-wide-plus organization for writers. I was honored to have one of my short stories chosen to be included in the compilation Strange Magic, edited by Catherine Jordan and published by Sunbury Press.
